Job summary

Mr. Rooter Plumbing is seeking a Class A CDL Driver & Excavation Specialist to join our team.

You will drive and operate a pump truck, excavators, and other tools to service residential and commercial properties, lead dig crews, and ensure safety and quality on every project. The role requires a CDL Class A with NY endorsements, at least 2 years in leadership and heavy equipment operation, and the ability to perform physical labor in various conditions.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with NYS endorsements (Tanker and Air Brake) and insurability to operate company vehicles.
• Leadership experience: at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-management role.
• Equipment operation: at least 2 years operating excavators and heavy equipment.
• Physical capability: able to lift 35 lbs, bend, crawl into confined spaces, and perform hands-on labor year-round.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or until job is completed.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment: pump truck, excavators, and other tools at residential and commercial sites.
• Provide repairs and maintenance support by assisting with drainage system excavation and sewer line exposure for repair or replacement.
• Lead and coordinate dig crews to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Follow company processes and standards to deliver excellent service for homeowners and commercial clients.
• Perform physical tasks such as digging, climbing, carrying materials, and operating heavy tools.
• Communicate with homeowners and property managers to explain work and ensure satisfaction.
