Job summary

Midwest Perma-Column is seeking CDL truck drivers to transport materials from the Edwards, IL facility to customer sites and unload them safely. The role emphasizes adherence to DOT rules, teamwork with the Production Manager, and maintaining a strong safety and service focus.

Starting pay is per mile with bonus opportunities; the position requires overnight travel 2–3 days weekly, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and excellent communication skills to coordinate deliveries and ensure

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
Willing to travel overnight two to three days per week.
Able to lift 50–75 lbs.
Proficiency in understanding and complying with DOT regulations.
Proven safe driving record and DOT compliance.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to drive for extended periods and work at unloading sites in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Plan daily and weekly deliveries in compliance with DOT HOS rules.
Perform pre-trip inspection of equipment and cargo.
Coordinate with Production Manager on load changes and scheduling.
Maintain equipment with proactive reporting of issues.
Mentor new drivers as needed.
Maintain safety, efficiency, and profitability awareness and participate in problem solving.
