Job summary

Clean Harbors in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Class A Driver (Retail Technician) to provide comprehensive environmental services, including collection and disposal of damaged or recalled products, recycling activities, and on-site cleanup. This role requires attendance at a mandatory 5-day Safety Kleen Academy in Elgin, IL, with airfare, hotel, and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license.
• Eligible to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire, company paid.
• Must be able to travel and attend the 5-day Safety Kleen Academy in Elgin, IL (onboarding).
• Background check, drug test and physical required by position.
• Strong customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all safe work practices.
• Pickup, pack and transport damaged, discarded goods, and recalled products.
• Load, pack and segregate materials and waste products.
• Drive a Box Truck to visit retail customer sites.
• Prepare DOT shipping documents and use laptop/printer/handheld/iPhone to complete tasks.
• Perform site-specific regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Communicate with customers at each stop and ensure proper packaging and drum counts.
• Conduct projects at customer locations including Fortune 500 companies.
• Complete all tasks per company guidelines and health and safety plans.
