Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking CDL-A drivers for OTR routes around Zephyrhills, FL. You’ll have a dedicated truck, no-slip seating, and a fixed home-time schedule with 14 days out and 2 days home.

New CDL-A holders and experienced drivers are encouraged to apply. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and weekly direct deposit. Orientation pay is provided plus a mentorship program for new CDL-A holders.

Qualifications

• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Pass a DOT drug test and background check.
• Meet all applicable DOT and company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate the assigned truck on OTR routes with no-touch dry van freight.
• Follow the 14 days out / 2 days home schedule.
• Direct deposit guaranteed weekly.
• Take ownership of the assigned truck and home-time schedule.

Some OTR jobs keep drivers in the dark on pay, equipment, and scheduling until after they're hired. Here's exactly what you get, up front.

Hiring CDL-A drivers in the Zephyrhills, FL area for OTR routes with an assigned truck, no-touch dry van freight, and a set home-time schedule. New CDL-A holders and experienced drivers are both encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL DRIVE

• 2024 and newer Kenworth T680 or Freightliner Cascadia, automatic transmission
• One truck assigned to you, no slip seating, ever
• Bring the truck home with you on your scheduled days off
• Freight is 100% no-touch, dry van only

THE SCHEDULE

• 14 days out
• 2 full days home

THE PAY

• $1,400 to $1,600 average gross per week once training is complete
• Top 25% of drivers average up to $1,800 per week gross
• Pay scales with CPM, miles, and performance
• Direct deposit, every week

GETTING ON THE ROAD

• $300 orientation pay, plus your transportation to orientation covered
• New CDL-A holders: $850/week during a 3 to 5 week mentorship program (about 200 to 250 hours of hands‑on training)
• Already experienced? Skip straight to solo operations if you meet requirements

TO QUALIFY

• 21 years or older
• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Solid driving record and work history
• Pass a DOT drug test and background check
• Meet all applicable DOT and company requirements

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

• Experienced drivers need at least 6 months of verifiable solo driving time; mentor/trainer time doesn't count toward this
• New CDL-A holders need 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school, plus completion of the company training program
