Job summary

United Rentals in Virginia Beach is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment safely and on time, serving as a courteous ambassador to customers.

You will be home every night, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain your logs, operate construction equipment, and suggest additional items customers may need while following DOT regulations.

This full-time role includes competitive pay and benefits such as paid parental leave and sick leave.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Dropped off and picked up equipment for customers.
• Operated construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers.
• Adhered to safety requirements including DOT regulations.
• Maintained driver’s logs and completed pre-trip inspections.
• Suggested additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
