Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver who will deliver equipment to customers and serve as a company ambassador with a focus on safety and service. You’ll be home nightly and contribute to the company’s growth while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience, along with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver equipment to customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (CDL-A) as required.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and DOT regulations.

What You’ll Do

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (\"low boys\") consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety
