Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a CDL-A Driver to join our Shop Team. This role supports mobile on-site fleet maintenance with evening home time, parts deliveries, and strong customer service across multiple locations.

The position offers a hybrid work option with travel and the potential for additional compensation such as commissions or incentives. Join a large nationwide fleet maintenance network with supportive leadership.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED; 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
  • Valid CDL-A driver's license and ability to meet DQF requirements.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read/follow maps, routes and GPS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable, organized and committed.
  • Familiarity with local geography.
  • High energy, positive attitude and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up customer trailers and trucks and deliver them to shop or yards.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Attend management meetings when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hourly base pay rate is $24.09 - $36.11/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Cox Fleet is currently hiringa **CDL A Driver** to join our Shop Team to support the future growth of the Company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shuttle commercial vehicles to be repaired or post repairs between our maintenance shop and our customers in the surrounding area - be ** home every evening**.

  • Pick up and deliver parts from local parts stores/distribution centers back to our maintenance shop.

  • Provide excellent customer service by going above and beyond customers’ expectations.

  • Contributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.

  • Make parts runs to parts stores and deliver to shops and mobile techs.

  • Assist with Bert in maintaining the parts shelves for the techs.

  • Assist with shop cleanliness.

  • Pick up customer trailers with our tractor and deliver to shop and other yards.

  • Pick up and deliver customer trucks.

  • Maintains a safe and compliant working environment.

  • Attends management meetings when requested.

  • Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field.

  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required. Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence CDL-A driver’s license, be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.).

  • Between 1 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.

  • The ability to lift to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • The ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system.

  • Experience in positions demonstrating the ability to provide exceptional customer service to external and internal contacts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Dependable, organized and committed.

  • Positive attitude, good instincts, and self-motivation

  • Familiarity with the local geography.

  • High energy, a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong work ethic. Resourceful and motivated

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
