Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply in Clifton Park, NY is seeking a CDL Class A Driver/Yard Associate to deliver materials between our locations and to customer sites. You will ensure on-time deliveries, uphold safety standards, operate equipment, and provide exceptional customer service to support teammates and customers alike.

The role requires a valid CDL A, knowledge of trucking regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; we offer competitive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver.
• GPS/AVL/CB and related electronic equipment experience.
• Extensive knowledge of trucking rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability to handle traffic and weather challenges.
• Willing to undergo background and drug checks.
• Valid CDL license.
• Operate forklifts and yard equipment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with flat beds and dump trucks.
• CDL A at minimum.
• Moffit and forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Customer job site and warehouse delivery.
• Assist in yard operations and loading/unloading.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and perform preventive maintenance.

Your contribution will be vital in ensuring our customers recieve their materials on time while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront of your work.

As a CDL Driver and Yard Associate, your interaction with customers will be crucial in providing them with the best experience possible. You'll be expected to exhibit exceptional customer service skills along with the ability to operate various equipment and vehicles.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendationsValid CDL license
• Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with flat beds and dump trucks
• At least a CDL A is required
• Moffit & forklift experience is a plus
