Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, is hiring a Class A CDL driver. You will perform touch-freight tasks, inspect loads, and ensure safe handling on site.

The role requires a valid CDL, 12 months of commercial driving experience, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. You will collaborate with the dispatcher to ensure timely deliveries and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for a safe loading/unloading environment.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures; wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
