Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our nationwide logistics network. You will inspect and drive tractor-trailers, maintain DOT-compliant logs, and ensure timely delivery to customer premises.

The role offers a competitive pay range, sign-on bonus up to $15,000, and day-one benefits including medical, dental, vision, and more. Candidates must meet driving experience requirements and pass background checks as required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safely maneuver on road and customer premises.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations; document delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $110,000 per year.
• $55k - $70k per year during the training period.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $15,000, depending on experience.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
