Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver. This role involves inspecting tractors, delivering across routes, and maintaining logs per DOT requirements. You will interact with customers and ensure accurate delivery of products.

Candidates must have a valid CDL-A and at least 1 year of driving with a clean MVR. The position offers strong benefits and a path to a stable, long-term career with home time included.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license required.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips and file required DOT reports.
• Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate driver logs (Manual or Peoplenet) and document deliveries and temperatures.
• Unload products at customer locations and complete deliveries as assigned.

Pay Rate: Drivers make$85,000 to $95,000.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
