Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a professional truck driver to operate in a defined Arizona/Yuma territory, delivering products safely and on time. You will handle loading and unloading, communicate promotions or issues to customers, and collect signatures on delivery documents.

Applicants should have a CDL, a clean driving record, and at least one year of tractor trailer experience. Overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required; opportunities for growth exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• CDL required for tractor trailer operation
• Good driving record for past 39 months
• One or more years of tractor trailer/route delivery experience
• Available for overnight shifts, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks along established routes to deliver products safely and efficiently
• Load/unload products at various locations within territory
• Inform customers of new products and resolve complaints
• Record daily sales/delivery data and obtain customer signatures
• Comply with company policies and DOT regulations
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

This position is responsible for driving trucks over established route to safely and efficiently deliver products and render services.

• Loading and/or unloading products at various locations primarily within a specific geographic territory and will usually be completed within that shift.
• Delivering such items as perishable foods, table top items, special equipment and frozen foods.
• Informing customers of new products or services and issues sales promotion materials and resolving customer complaints
• Recording information on daily sales/delivery record and obtaining customer signatures upon pickup/delivery
• Complying with company policies and D.O.T. regulations.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation
• Must have a good driving record for past 39 months
• One or more years of tractor trailer/route delivery experience
• Must be available to work with the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands:

• Regularly standing and walking
• Ability to reach and handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds
• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Visual Requirements:

• Close, distance, color and peripheral vision
• Depth perception
• Ability to adjust focus
