Job summary

McLane is seeking CDL-A delivery drivers to move products to customers across America with strict safety standards. You will inspect vehicles, manage bills of lading, and drive to destinations while complying with DOT regulations.

Home-time is prioritized with a strong benefits package and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced drivers. Day 1 benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus life insurance, FSA/HSA, and 401(k) with profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, adhering to DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, temps and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
