McLane is hiring CDL-A Delivery Drivers in Iowa, Farley. You will inspect trucks and documents, drive safely, log deliveries, and unload products at customer sites. The role rewards reliability with strong client relationships and frequent home time.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license holder with clean driving record.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for safety and operations.
• Meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hours.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying regulatory knowledge and road skills.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations and document deliveries.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
