Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers across our nationwide network. You will inspect vehicles, manage delivery paperwork, log hours, and unload at customer sites while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role offers $65,000–$110,000 yearly pay, a sign-on bonus up to $15,000, and Day 1 benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401k and various additional programs. Training pay during onboarding is also available.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age and a valid CDL-A license.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy for deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver log per regulations, documenting delivery receipts and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
