Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Washington. The role involves inspecting vehicles and cargo, delivering products to customer sites, and maintaining accurate logs per DOT requirements. Home time and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Must read, write and understand English sufficiently to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $110,000 per year.
• $55k - $70k per year during the training period.
• Sign‑on bonus: Up to $15,000, depending on experience.

What you'll do as a CDL‑A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off‑hour delivery.
• Drive tractor‑trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL‑A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL‑A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
