Job summary

A.F. Wendling, Inc. in Buckhannon, WV is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer and unload/deliver products on an assigned route. You will build relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction while coordinating with the Transportation Manager.

This full-time role requires a valid license, clean MVR, DOT compliance, basic math, and strong time management. Physical tasks include lifting up to 100 lbs and working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMCSA 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a schedule.

Responsibilities

• Drive to and deliver customer orders on a pre-determined route.
• Unload products from trailer using a two-wheeler and ramp and place in customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery of correct items with customer and obtain signatures.
• Collect money (cash or check) where required.
• Maintain DOT logs and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
