Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a DOT Driver Trainee to learn the delivery of product along assigned routes across Texas. You will gain hands-on experience, read invoices, assemble orders, and maintain delivery time windows with attention to accuracy and safety.

Upon successful training, you are expected to progress to a Driver DOT position, supported by a structured program. The role emphasizes safe driving, route planning, and compliance with transportation regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to read customer invoices and assemble orders used for delivery.
• Strong time management to maintain delivery windows and routes.
• Willingness to learn and progress from trainee to Driver DOT position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products along assigned routes with multiple stops.
• Read invoices to determine items to move and deliver to businesses.
• Assemble customer orders for delivery and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain delivery time windows and monitor route efficiency.
• Inspect vehicles and report any mechanical issues or delays.
