Job summary

Ben E. Keith is seeking a route delivery professional to perform product deliveries along assigned routes and ensure customer satisfaction. You will inspect vehicles, assemble and deliver orders, and maintain accurate logs and records while following BEK safety and DOT guidelines.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least 1 year of route driving experience, and strong communication and math skills. BEK offers competitive benefits and a family-owned work environment.

Qualifications

• Must know and adhere to DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• 1 year of route driving experience required
• DOT certification required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid State Class A CDL license required in state of residence
• Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines
• Knowledge of customer service principles and quality standards
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn new applications/proprietary software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills required
• Strong interpersonal skills with multiple levels of organization

Responsibilities

• Deliver products along assigned routes and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies and request service as needed.
• Assemble orders for delivery with accurate delivery windows.
• Place delivered products in assigned storage locations per customer requests.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered products and prevent damage.
• Communicate problems to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Read maps and follow directions.
• Manage multiple tasks and use time, equipment, and materials efficiently.
• Follow BEK policies and safety guidelines.
• Comply with traffic laws and DOT regulations and company policies.
• Remain DOT compliant and update on guideline changes.
• Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and training per BEK standards.
• Complete administrative tasks and paperwork for transportation operations.
• Review customer invoices to determine items to be moved and delivered.
• Report mechanical problems, delays, accidents, or traffic issues to base.
• Submit receipts and monies from customer deliveries.
• Maintain vehicle logs, cargo and billing statements per BEK policies.
