Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) in Mansfield, OH is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer or straight truck routes and deliver food products safely. You will train with a driver mentor, perform pre/post trip inspections, and complete required DOT paperwork while delivering on local, interstate, or overnight routes.

No experience required. CDL-A is required for eligibility, with a focus on safety, customer service, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Valid CDL A and DOT Health Card.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attends and completes Driver Trainee Training Program as required.
• Rides with driver trainer and follows instructions.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and DOT compliance checks.
• Drive to deliver customer orders according to schedule.
• Unload and unload items, obtain signatures and handle payments where required.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs and maintain paperwork.
