Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Houston, TX, to move and deliver products to our customers. This role features third-shift overnight work with local, home-daily routes and a start on the extra board with route bidding after six months.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying regulatory knowledge and maneuvering skill.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations; document delivery receipt and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer sites.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
