Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company is hiring a Delivery Driver to service our Ohio routes. You will be responsible for delivering product to accounts with a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced beverage distribution environment.

The role requires a valid driver's license (CDL preferred or required to pass DOT), ability to lift up to 165 lbs, and willingness to work early mornings from 5AM until deliveries are complete.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
• Candidates with a CDL must be able to pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background checkMust be willing to work flexible shifts if needed.
• Must have strong customer service skills and a strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
• Must have a positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record.
• Must be a fast-paced individual with strong work ethic.
• Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Regular, consistent attendance is required.
• Must be able to move or lift up to 165 lbs (pounds) on occasion and repetitively list 25+ lbs (pounds) throughout the shift. Spend work shift continually moving on your feet, climbing in and out of truck and up and down stairs.
• Remain on your feet for extended periods, including walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and operating equipment.
• Ability to meet the visual and physical requirements necessary to perform warehouse duties safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections completed on a daily basis.
• Deliveries made in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively and with respect to customers and fellow associates.
• Assist the warehouse as needed.
• Must be able to understand documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Secure company property at all times including cash, checks and company vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and effective workplace.
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
