Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver for Ohio operation. You will deliver product to accounts within your territory and work with a small team in a fast-paced beverage environment.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
• CDL applicants must pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willing to work flexible shifts if needed.
• Strong customer service and understanding of DOT rules.
• Positive attitude and excellent attendance record.
• Fast-paced, with strong work ethic.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Regular attendance required.
• Lift up to 165 lbs and 25+ lbs repeatedly; move on feet and climb stairs.
• Able to meet warehouse safety and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of product to accounts within designated route and territory.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections; safe and efficient deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates.
• Assist warehouse as needed and maintain vehicle security.
• Adhere to safety rules and operations manuals; maintain cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.

Job Summary

A Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of product with their given account base and territory. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work along and in small groups, and enjoy a fast-paced environment in the beverage alcohol industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• In addition to the tasks and functions specific to their designated route, this position has the following essential duties and responsibilities, subject to modification at any time with or without notice
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections completed on a daily basis
• Deliveries made in a safe and efficient manner
• Communicate effectively and with respect to customers and fellow associates
• Assist the warehouse as needed
• Must be able to understand documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Secure company property at all times including cash, checks and company vehicle
• Maintain a clean and effective workplace
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager

Qualifications And Requirements

• Must have and maintain a valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements
• Candidates with a CDL must be able to pass a DOT physical
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts if needed
• Must have strong customer service skills and a strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations
• Must have a positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record
• Must be a fast-paced individual with strong work ethic
• Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Regular, consistent attendance is required
• Must be able to move or lift up to 165 lbs (pounds) on occasion and repetitively list 25+ lbs (pounds) throughout the shift. Spend work shift continually moving on your feet, climbing in and out of truck and up and down stairs
• Remain on your feet for extended periods, including walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and operating equipment
• Ability to meet the visual and physical requirements necessary to perform warehouse duties safely and effectively

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position operates in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. Consistent attendance and adherence to safety procedures are essential. Dress code may vary by shift and will be communicated by the Operations Manager
