Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring a delivery driver to support our food distribution network. The role involves driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and regional routes, delivering and unloading goods in a timely manner, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance. You will join a team serving customers from our new warehouse location at 8600 Springdale Avenue, St.

Louis, MO 63134. The position requires a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays and early morning starts.

Qualifications

• 6+ Months Commercial Driving Experience
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid CDL A
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight routes to deliver and unload food products safely and on time.
• Communicates with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally and answers questions accurately.
• Conducts safety checks per DOT regulations and inspects equipment.
• Verifies delivery with customers and obtains signatures.
• Loads/unloads freight and handles paperwork.
