Job summary

US Foods in Lexington, KY is seeking Delivery Drivers to join our team. You will safely drive company trucks, unload deliveries, verify accuracy with customers, and collect payments when applicable. This role offers a four-day work week, weekly pay, and strong benefits starting Day 1.

Starting times are early morning (3:30–5:30 AM) with 10+ hour shifts until deliveries are completed. The base pay ranges from $36.64 to $39.00 per hour, with overtime and annual wage increases based on performance

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Register in the FMCSA Clearinghouse per Department of Transportation rules.
• Minimum six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must read, write and communicate in English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery trucks and meet scheduled delivery times to customers.
• Unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand into customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures as required.
• Handle payments/collections from customers when applicable and provide customer service.

Schedule:

• 4 day work week.
• Monday through Friday (with 1 scheduled day on call).
• Starting between 3:30 AM – 5:30 AM.
• 10+ hr. shifts (work until deliveries finished).

Main Ingredients of the Job:

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times.
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $36.64 and $39.00. This role will also receive overtime compensation as applicable.
