US Foods is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Manassas, VA. You will safely drive to customers, unload goods, verify deliveries, and collect signatures while delivering exceptional service. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections and handle related payments as needed.

Qualifications include a valid CDL A with endorsements, 21+ years old, and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration. Training and retention bonuses are offered with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in certain locations.
• Must read and communicate in English.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it's about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas - 100% touch freight.
• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• *Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation. All Drivers are required to visit the Clearinghouse website and register to the new database. The Clearinghouse is a secure online database that provides real-time information about commercial driver's license (CDL) and commercial learner's permit (CLP) holders' drug and alcohol program violations. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The training base rate is $34 per hour and after training will be paid component pay based on miles, cases, and stops as applicable.

As applicable, this role will also receive retention bonus, component pay based on cases, mileage, stops, etc.
