Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our team. You will drive a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customers, inspect vehicles and paperwork, and maintain compliant logs and records.

We offer industry-leading pay and day-one benefits, with home daily schedules and strong client relationships. Qualifications include a valid CDL-A, at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience, and strong safety and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a sufficient level for safety and job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips; submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bills of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following DOT regulations and safety practices.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations; document deliveries and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
