Job summary

McLane is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products for national brands. You will inspect, drive, log, and deliver with a focus on safety and on-time performance, maintaining compliance with DOT rules.

Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 with experienced drivers earning more. Day 1 benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus life insurance and other perks. Home daily with strong client relationships and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, following commercial driving regulations and safe vehicle maneuvering.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer, delivering product to customer premises.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
