Schneider National in Putnam, CT is seeking a CDL Class A driver for our dedicated account. This role features 100% no-touch freight with about 13 loads per week, driving within CT, MA, NH, NY and PA (no NYC).

You’ll earn mileage pay plus hourly pay on duty, weekly performance pay, and a generous sign-on bonus for experienced or inexperienced drivers. Comprehensive benefits and solid home time round out the package.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A required.
• Tanker endorsement due within 90 days of hire.
• HazMat endorsement due within 90 days of hire; online training aid available.
• Live within 50 miles of Putnam, CT.

Overview

• Haul retail merchandise in dry van trailers.
• 100% no-touch and 80% drop-and-hook freight.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Weekly performance pay.
• $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• $7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for inexperienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 2% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire — Schneider’s self-paced online certification training will help you secure it.
• Live within 50 miles of Putnam, CT.
