Averitt Express is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated Cracker Barrel account in the Nashville area. You will run pre-loaded trailers, delivering to Cracker Barrel stores across 24 states and unloading at each stop. Expect about 1,960 miles per week with routes typically 2 per week and home weekly.

Training pays $1,000 for the first week. Benefits include health insurance, rider policy, profit sharing, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Must live within a 100-mile radius.
• Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• No reckless driving convictions in the last 5 years.
• No DUI convictions in the last 5 years.
• No license suspensions or revocations in the last 5 years.
• No serious moving violations in the last 12 months (e.g., 15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, fatal accidents involving a CMV).
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise to Cracker Barrel stores in 24 states.
• Unload using a ramp and two-wheel freight into the storeroom.
• Pickup pre-loaded trailers in Lebanon, TN, and run dedicated routes.

* Average Pay: $1,960 per week ($101,951/year)* Start at: 66 cpm* Unloading Pay: $0.185 per case, averaging $555/week* Retail Route Incentive: $15 for return totes per retail route (totes hold small merchandise* Company sponsored per diem program**Home Weekly:*** Dispatches Sunday morning through Monday morning* Sunday dispatch drivers return home on Friday, Monday dispatch drivers return Friday evening or Saturday morning**Route Details:*** Pick up pre-loaded trailers in Lebanon, TN, and deliver merchandise (not food) to Cracker Barrel stores in 24 states: AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MO, MS, NC, NJ, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV* Average 1,960 miles per week* Drivers typically run 2 routes per week* Runs vary throughout the week* Merchandise is separated by a bulkhead for easy unloading (freight isn't mixed together)* Drivers will unload using a ramp and two-wheel freight into the customer's storeroom (most stops take 1+ hours)**Training & Support:*** New drivers will ride with a dedicated Averitt driver for the first week to learn the customer's processes and procedures.
