Job summary

Schneider National is hiring drivers for dedicated Midwest routes with night shifts. You will haul 100% no-touch freight using reefer and dry van trailers, averaging 7–8 loads per week with 2–3 stops per load.

You’ll earn mileage and load pay, plus hourly pay for on-duty not driving, with a first-year sign-on bonus and paid orientation. Eligible applicants can receive a year-round benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and be eligible for company training.
• Night driving required; able to work nights.
• Live within 115 miles of Gary, IN or Sterling, IL.

Responsibilities

• Haul 100% no-touch freight with reefer and dry van trailers.
• Complete 7–8 loads per week with 2–3 stop-offs per load.
• Drive within Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving.
• Earn at least $1,000 in weekly guarantee pay during your first 90 days at Schneider.
• Weekly performance pay.
• $7,500 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for experienced drivers.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over 12 monthly payments in your first year for inexperienced drivers.
• Paid orientation.
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year.
• Annual bonus: Earn up to 2% of annual gross pay each year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit (if interested in company-paid CDL training).
• Drivers on this account are required to drive at night.
• Live within 115 miles of Gary, IN or Sterling, IL.
