Averitt Express is seeking a CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver to deliver automotive parts on local routes across AL, GA, NC and SC. Expect home daily, evenings and overnights as routes allow, and a predictable schedule with paid time off and benefits.

Starting pay is competitive with top rates and a weekly average around $1,680, equating to about $87,374 per year. CDL-A, 1 year experience, and endorsements are required or pursued quickly.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class A CDL is required.
• Doubles/Triples endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Must live within a 75-mile radius of the assigned area.
• No reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years.
• No DUI convictions in the past 5 years.
• No serious DOT violations in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver automotive service parts to dealerships on local routes.
• Load and unload freight at customer locations and scan for delivery confirmation.
• Unload cages and loose freight; unload with a tablet for tracking.
• Make unattended overnight deliveries with a liftgate trailer.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain regular attendance.
• Drive a day cab truck and adhere to schedule.
