Averitt is hiring CDL-A Local Truck Drivers to build long-term relationships with customers and enjoy daily home time. Local drivers access in-cab technology for dispatch and routing, with opportunities to progress into operations and leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum 4 months (1 year preferred) of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred; must be willing to obtain endorsements.
• No reckless driving convictions, no DUI within past 5 years, no recent suspensions or revocations.

Responsibilities

• Load freight - 80 lb lift requirement.
• Unload freight - 80 lb lift requirement.
• Move freight - 54 lb force requirement.
• Open/close trailer doors - 46 lb force requirement.
• Enter/exit a CMV and trailer from ground level.
• Complete bill of lading and delivery receipts.
• Drive with regular, predictable attendance.
