Job summary

Averitt Express is seeking a CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver to haul building materials within a 300-mile radius of Greensboro, NC. Home daily with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend work. Starts at $0.50 per mile with predictable weekly miles and a structured pay plan.

Paid training is provided; 6–11 months of tractor-trailer experience (or 1 year in past 5 years) qualifies you for the program. No touch freight; some days involve inbound pickups and occasional detentions.

• No touch freight; live unloads only.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight per load requirements (80 lb limits).
• Secure loads with straps and hardware; tarp when required.
• Complete delivery receipts and fuel tickets; drive to local routes within 300 miles of Greensboro, NC.
