Job summary

Blue Ridge Haulers is seeking a CDL-A Driver Trainee for a dedicated home weekly position with paid training. Trainees enter through a structured program and later move into a regular account, enjoying weekly home time.

The job features a six-day work week, night driving, and weekend/holiday schedules. Training lasts 3–5 weeks with 200–250 behind-the-wheel hours, Kansas trainee pay of $650 per week, and orientation pay of $300.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 120 hours from an accredited truck driving school
• CDL-A trainees with less than 6 months of recent driving experience are welcome
• Solid employment history without major unemployment gaps
• Acceptable MVR and driving record required
• Must pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug test
• Must meet all applicable driver qualification and hiring requirements
• Must be available for required schedules, weekends and holidays

CDL-A Dedicated Driver Trainee - Home Weekly
Job Type: Driving

Home Weekly. No-Touch Grocery Freight. Paid CDL-A Training.

This dedicated position combines consistent freight with a weekly 34-hour reset. Qualified CDL-A trainees can enter through paid driver training before moving into the regular account.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• $1,100-$1,200 average weekly earnings after training
• Home weekly for a 34-hour reset
• Six-day work week
• Night driving, weekends and holidays required

TRAINING

Paid training lasts approximately 3-5 weeks with 200-250 behind-the-wheel hours. Kansas trainee pay is $650 per week. Local mentoring is not guaranteed, so training may be completed with the first available OTR or regional mentor. Orientation is no more than two days, with $300 paid upon hire.

PAY DETAILS

• Starting mileage pay of $0.49 per mile with scheduled experience increases
• $25 for loads under 50 miles
• $20 for qualifying loads under 110 miles
• $10 first stop and $15 each additional stop
• Performance and safety bonus opportunity

FREIGHT

• Dedicated grocery operation
