Job summary

ForestSource is seeking a Boom Truck Operator to safely lift and place heavy materials at construction and industrial sites in Vermont. You will operate a boom truck, perform pre-operation inspections, and coordinate with site supervisors to meet project schedules.

The role requires CDL with endorsements, hands-on experience, and knowledge of OSHA safety standards and rigging. Strong communication and weather adaptability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A/B with appropriate endorsements for boom trucks.
• Experience operating boom trucks or similar heavy lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe rigging practices.
• Ability to read and interpret load charts and lifting plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate boom truck to lift, move, and position materials at construction or industrial sites.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Secure loads with proper rigging techniques for safe transport.
• Communicate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate lifts and meet project requirements.
• Maintain records of daily operations, inspections, and incidents.
• Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies during all operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the boom truck.
