Job summary

North Texas Municipal Water District seeking a CDL‑A driver to haul biosolids and residuals to disposal sites, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements: high school diploma/GED, Texas Class A CDL, and 3+ years driving experience; clean driving record. This full‑time, outdoors position requires physical fitness, ability to lift, and flexibility for rotating shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Maintain basic computer skills associated with the position.

Responsibilities

• Operates hauling vehicles, including roll-off trucks, to transport wastewater biosolids and residual materials.
• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintains equipment readiness.
• Loads and unloads biosolids and residual materials at designated sites.
• Ensures compliance with EPA, DOT, TCEQ, TxDOT and local regulations and record-keeping.
• Completes daily logs, manifests, and transport reports.
• Communicates with plant staff, site operators, and dispatchers regarding schedules and emergencies.
• Reports equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Assists with routine maintenance of vehicles and plant operations.
• Participates in safety training and certifications relevant to hauling and wastewater operations.
