Job summary

Wright Beverage Distributing is seeking a full-time Class A CDL driver for our Buffalo, NY location. You will drive company trucks to deliver to retail accounts, perform safety inspections, verify loads, and manage COD payments with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Regular duties include loading/unloading, keeping the vehicle clean, and reporting mechanical issues to the management team. A clean NYS CDL and good driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL License or Permit.
• Preferred: College Degree.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with forklift, walkie rider, electric pallet jack and handcart.

Responsibilities

• Report to work wearing a clean and neat company uniform.
• Performs a daily DOT truck safety inspection report and files the paperwork with the mechanic at EOD before leaving.
• Checks all fluid levels before starting truck.
• Loads and verifies all BBLs and add on orders to truck before leaving on delivery route.
• Drives truck to make deliveries to retail accounts.
• Adjust invoices when necessary and collects payments for COD accounts.
• Picks up all empty cases, kegs, soda trays at every delivery.
• Refuels truck at the end of the delivery route.
• Unloads product and rotates fresh product with product already at retail based on code date.
• Returns undelivered product, breakage, empties and pallets to proper warehouse locations.
• Keeps trucks clean inside and out daily including inside bays and trailer.
• Reports to Operations Manager and Mechanics any issues with the truck, trailer and handcart.
• Reports to IT Manager, Operation Manager any issues with handheld and printer.
• If you are operating a two man truck the assistant acts as a spotter when truck is backing up.
