Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Driver, Dedicated Backhaul to operate tractor-trailers and straight trucks across local and interstate routes, ensuring timely delivery of food and related products to customers. This role is integral to the company's food distribution system and involves interacting professionally with customers and co-workers.

The position requires a valid CDL-A, at least 1 year of commercial driving experience, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 1+ years commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases/freight.

Responsibilities

• Drive to assigned supplier/vendor and/or PFG warehouse locations according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule.
• Delivers assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory.
• Performs appropriate load and paperwork inspections including product counts and invoices.
• Check and complete required paperwork for backhaul operations.
• Routinely check in with direct supervisor to confirm route, load, and schedule; report issues as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
