US Foods in Oklahoma City is seeking a CDL A Backhaul Driver to join our team. You will safely drive to vendors and drop-off sites, verify freight, monitor trailer temperatures, and ensure accuracy with vendors, returning the tractor and trailer after each route.

This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, the ability to work a Sunday–Thursday night schedule (8:00 PM–5:00 AM), and a commitment to safety and reliability on every mile.

This CDL A Backhaul Driver goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers. **Key Responsibilities*** **Safe Driving:** Skillfully drive your truck to vendors and designated drop-off sites, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.* **Inspect and Confirm:** Verify the freight on the truck, check the trailer temperatures, and ensure accuracy with vendors - every detail matters.* **Finish Strong:** Return the tractor and trailer to the division once the route is completed.* **Equipment Inspection:** Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections, ensuring everything is in top condition for the road ahead.* **Adaptability:** All other duties assigned by management. **Physical Requirements*** Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.* Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.* Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.* Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.* Must be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/Trailer. **Qualifications*** Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse\\** Must be at least 21 years of age.* Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.* Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.* Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.* Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week is required.* Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. **About US FOODS**Click here to learn more! \\*Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
