Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a CDL Driver to service customers by collecting waste and recycling, operating various trucks, and detailing routes in Alaska. The role requires safe driving, compliance with regulations, and the ability to work across diverse routes in congested or confined areas.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and interact professionally with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain prior to hire.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• No DUI or OVI in the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck safely in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Provide trash or recycling removal services by emptying containers into the truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Remove and return containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as required.
• Replace containers neatly at designated areas.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Clean waste from the truck cab.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

CDL Drivers are responsible for servicing customers with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. This position requires the ability to operate various types of trucks. Drivers will service many different routes in various areas, so excellent driving/maneuvering skills are essential. This position may require driving in congested and/or confined areas.

Responsibilities of Position:

· Operate truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.

· Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.

· May be required to remove and return containers from enclosures or inside buildings.

· Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.

· Replace trash/recycling containers neatly at the designated area.

· Clean up waste spills and overflows.

· Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.

· Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.

· Professional interaction with internal and external customers.

· Clean waste from the truck cab.

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

· Ability to read and understand tablets, route sheets and maps.

· Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including but not limited to sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting).

· Required to enter/exit the truck approximately 100 times per day.

· Ability to push/pull 100lb and lift 50lb.

· Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.

· General knowledge of mechanics of trucks.

· Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

· Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.

· Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire.

· Must have at least 18 years of age.

· No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.

· Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.

· Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
