Job summary

A waste management company located in Crockett, Texas, is seeking a CDL Class B Truck Driver. The role involves operating a waste hauling truck for residential trash and recycling pickup, adhering to safety regulations, and performing vehicle inspections. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of Class B driving experience. Benefits include weekly pay, health plans, life insurance, and a retirement plan. This position is home daily and involves a 10-12 hour shift, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class B driving experience.
• No more than one moving violation on your MVR within the last 3 years.

Job description

As a CDL Class B Truck Driver, you operate a waste hauling truck to provide residential trash and recycling pick up. Operating around 150 miles of your home, you lift and carry residential waste and deposit into a compactor. Throughout your day, you are attentive to safety and are sure to report any defects, accidents, or violations. You inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report preventative maintenance needs to management team. Each day, you are happy to be on the road and not stuck in an office.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Safely operate around 150 miles of home
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report any and all defects, accidents, or violations
• Carry out other duties as needed or instructed

• Home Daily
• Monday-Friday
• Additional hours may be needed
• Shift is 10-12 Hours
