Job summary

Ideal candidates have RN licensure with CCDS/CDIP, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years in CDI. This role supports CDI and coding teams in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor’s degree.
• RN license required; CCDS/CDIP certification required; CCS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in Clinical Documentation Improvement with CDI scope mastery.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily CDI operations, monitoring productivity and quality.
• Provide input on staff performance appraisals and issues.
• Conduct second‑level reviews for CDI, coding, and quality teams.
• Deliver CDI education to providers and teams.
• Coordinate training for new hires and update staff on process changes.
• Identify CDI opportunities and assign charts to staff.
• Monitor workflow and manage queue priorities to meet deadlines.
• Supervise chart review processes and respond to questions in secure chat.
• Conduct CDI chart review audits biannually.
• In director's absence, oversee day‑to‑day CDI department operations.
