Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Clinical Document Integrity Specialist to join the CDI team at Baptist Metro Square. This full-time day-shift role helps ensure accurate inpatient DRG assignments and improves documentation through collaboration with physicians, nurses and coding staff.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of acute care coding and nursing experience, RN/ARNP/NP/PA licensure, and preferred CDIP or CCDS certifications.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of acute care coding experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement and in an acute care setting.
• RN/ARNP/NP/PA licensure and leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate improvements in the quality, completeness and compliance of clinical documentation through collaboration with physicians, nursing, patient care providers and coding staff.
• Conduct initial and concurrent reviews of patient admissions to ensure clinical documentation is accurate and complete.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects patient outcomes and supports appropriate DRG assignment, to the extent agreed upon by the physician.
• Monitor patient status assignments and use designated, approved tools to track case progress.
• Serve as a resource to physicians and coding staff regarding clinical documentation and the appropriateness of inpatient DRG assignment.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical documentation and support accurate, compliant reporting of patient care.
