Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist to improve the accuracy and completeness of medical records. The role involves partnering with physicians, nurses, and case management to optimize documentation and coding, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in healthcare, CDI experience, and current NC licensure or eligibility.

Formación

• Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) or PA/NP or Doctorate in a medically related field.
• Three years of progressive healthcare experience in an acute care setting, preferred.
• Previous chart review/clinical documentation experience preferred.
• Candidate should be licensed/registered in North Carolina (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Review clinical documentation and facilitate modifications to ensure accurate depiction of admission reason, severity, and conditions.
• Educate physicians and staff on documentation improvements and regulatory requirements.
• Identify chart deficiencies and coordinate timely clarifications with care teams.
• Maintain documentation in CDI database and support data reporting.
