White Plains Hospital Medical Center in White Plains, NY, seeks a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to enhance SOI and quality documentation. The CDI will review records, interact with physicians and care teams, and support accurate coding and DRG assignments.

You will participate in team meetings, provide education on CDIP processes, and collaborate with HIM staff to drive complete documentation. Requires BSN or PA degree, 4–6 years acute care experience, and a current RN/PA license.

Qualifications

• BSN or PA degree required; current RN or PA license.
• 4–6 years of acute care experience in med/surg/CCU/ER/PACU.
• Knowledge of official coding guidelines and documentation requirements for inpatient settings.
• Strong organizational, analytical, writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Understands and adheres to performance standards and policies.
• Reviews records for SOI and quality using CDI software and EMR.
• Performs initial and concurrent record reviews and identifies documentation improvement opportunities.
• Formulates documentation clarifications to improve principal dx and comorbidities.
• Communicates with physicians and care team to ensure comprehensive documentation and appropriate DRG assignments.
