On Time Talent Solutions is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist in Saint Paul, MN to bridge gaps between providers and coders, ensuring accurate claim submission and proper coding. Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Professional certification in Clinical Documentation (CCDS, CDEO or Professional Coding Certification (CRC, CPC, or CCS-P))
• Two years of recent inpatient nursing experience in a medical, surgical, or ICU setting, and/or recent work experience as a CDI nurse or healthcare quality professional with specific medical record review experience
• Effective verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Review new acute inpatient admissions and hospital-based charts.
• Review HACs and other publicly reported quality/safety metrics.
• Facilitate CDI to support ICD-10-CM specificity and medical necessity of ambulatory visits.
• Identify opportunities in concurrent and retrospective documentation to support quality coding.
• Communicate with hospital coding staff to ensure accurate DRG assignment and CDI practices.
