Mercy Medical Center, Inc. is hiring a CDI Coding Liaison to collaborate with HIS/coding teams and the CDI unit to ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliant coding across inpatient cases.

The role requires 4+ years of acute care coding experience and RHIA/RHIT/CC certification, with a focus on ICD-10 coding and DRG assignments. Join a trusted, mission-driven health system that values quality care and professional development.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in health information management or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ acute care facility coding experience.
• Certifications required: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CC.

Mansioni

• Review problematic cases with HIS/coding teams to ensure accurate data coding.
• Collaborate with CDI and coding teams to reflect clinical decisions and interventions in the health record.
• Code diagnostic and procedural data using ICD-10 and Solventum Coding systems.
• Assign MS-DRGs and APR-DRGs for inpatient cases.
• Apply POA coding on inpatient records.
• Support initiatives to reduce preventable complications and readmissions.
• Clarify discrepancies in documentation and coding.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and DRG updates.
• Serve as liaison between HIS coding and CDI teams to ensure accuracy.
