Pinnacle Treatment Centers, Inc. is seeking a Counselor in Ohio to support the recovery journey of patients using evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• GED/High School diploma or higher is required for Counselor I.
• An Associate degree or higher is required for Counselor II.
• A Master’s degree or higher is required for Counselor III.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the completion of patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential documentation in accordance with applicable federal and state standards and agency policies and procedures.
• Provide patients with orientation regarding objectives of the program, phase system requirements, rules and regulations, sanctions, hours of services, patient rights, and additional information to help patients adjust to the program.
• Assess and place patients according to treatment phases in accordance with Federal and State standards and agency policies.
• Counsel patients in crisis situations by identifying resources and coping abilities to help resolve crises.
• Arrange referrals to other agencies and resources in the community when appropriate.
• Submit monthly and quarterly statistical reports to supervisor.
• Attend supervisions and team meetings and complete trainings timely.
