Job summary

The City of McAllen is seeking a Grant Coordinator to assist individuals through the HUD grant application process, review agencies and beneficiaries to determine funding eligibility, and prepare contracts for HUD-funded projects.

This position supports program implementation, monitors compliance, and coordinates between departments to ensure timely funding and responsible use of resources. Strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of federal grant rules are essential.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to assist individuals with the grant application process, review agencies and beneficiary's applications to determine funding eligibility, prepares and monitors contracts resulting from the implementation of projects primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
